The Rollo Jumbo scales up the standard Rollo pencil into a thicker 8.2 mm hexagonal barrel, built around a broader HB graphite core than a standard writing pencil uses. That extra width gives a smoother, more ink-like glide across the page and naturally produces a bolder line, which suits expressive freehand sketching or large-scale value shading where a thin standard pencil would take far more passes to fill the same area.

The thicker barrel also makes the pencil easier to grip securely for smaller hands, which is why it shows up in early writing education as much as in professional studios — same pencil, two fairly different use cases. Like the rest of the Rollo line, it's cedar wood left unpainted under a clear varnish, so the natural grain stays visible, and it comes presharpened.
