Tracing paper is a semi-transparent paper used for copying and transferring drawings, refining sketches without working on the original, and overlaying design elements to compare or combine them. In illustration and technical drawing it's useful for tracing reference images, planning compositions in stages, and creating clean line work from rough sketches underneath.
