The Broad Flat is the wide-coverage tip in Tombow's water brush range — a chiseled nylon head built to spread water and pigment evenly across a larger area, rather than the streakier result a round tip tends to leave on a big wash. It's the tip to reach for behind a calendar header, a sky background, or any flat color block that needs to cover ground without showing brush strokes.

Like the rest of the range, the barrel doubles as a water reservoir: fill it by unscrewing the body, then squeeze to control how much water reaches the bristles. To use it with a marker, scribble some ink onto a non-porous palette first, then pick the color up with the wet flat tip and sweep it across the page. The cap seals tight enough to keep the bristles from drying out in a bag or pencil case between uses.
