Unlike the 061 pastel formula, the Talens 063 is built to slightly darken and deepen what it's sprayed over — because charcoal and graphite particles absorb the liquid quickly, the fixed areas come out a touch more transparent and contrasty than they looked dry. That's useful for charcoal and heavy graphite work specifically, where it adds visual depth rather than just locking the dust in place. It still does the core job too: binding loose carbon particles into the tooth of the paper so the drawing stops smudging or dusting at the edges.

It's a liquid concentrate rather than an aerosol, applied with a studio atomizer or airbrush about 40 cm from the surface, and it dries clear and stays non-yellowing for decades. The 1000 ml size suits a studio working through charcoal pieces regularly.
