The Pilot Lettering Pen is a calligraphy felt marker for hand-lettering, formal scripts, and decorative titling, filled with an archival-grade water-based pigment ink in jet black. The ink is waterproof once dry, lightfast, and fade-resistant, so finished lettering holds up over time without yellowing or running if it gets wet.

The tip is a hard-molded polyacetal felt chisel nib designed to hold its edge through extended use rather than fraying or softening like standard felt tips. Because the ink feeds by capillary action, you can vary line weight by angle alone — turning the chisel edge to produce both broad strokes and fine hairlines from the same nib. This makes it suited to greeting cards, certificates, scrapbook titles, and invitation lettering.
