One night a week, a host of artists, cartoonists, graffiti painters and blue-collar workers gather at a neighborhood pub to create collective images and drink beer. They call it "Open Book". Each image is randomly generated when up to thirty people send the drawings between them. Everyone's lines mean something to the subject in the end and can't be wrong. Amateurs participate on the same terms as professionals. The result is as crisp as wonderful.

Joakim Pirinen: "It is a miracle that something so poetically can occur on a third-class beer bar".
