The Leuchtturm1917 A5 Hardcover Dotted is the benchmark notebook for bullet journaling and daily creative notation. The 5 mm dot grid gives enough structure to anchor typography columns, wireframes, and chart layouts while staying discrete enough to disappear during freehand work. The thread-bound hardcover opens completely flat at 180°, eliminating the spine resistance that glue-bound notebooks produce. 80 g/m2 acid-free paper is engineered to resist feathering and ghosting with fountain pens and fineliners — a meaningful distinction from standard notebook paper that bleeds under wet ink. 251 numbered pages throughout.

Is the 80 g/m2 paper sufficient for fountain pen use? Yes. The paper is engineered for ink-proof performance — fountain pen ink, fineliners, and brush markers sit on the surface without feathering or bleeding through. Very heavily saturated flex nib inks may show slight shadowing on the reverse under extreme use.
