The Clairefontaine Paint-ON Black A4 is a professional heavyweight black paper pad for daily dark-surface illustration, typography, and mixed-media design work. The 250 g/m² cellulose stock is mass-dyed through the full sheet thickness — the black is completely solid and uniform, with no white edges when cut and no surface flaking under erasing or heavy media application. At this weight the paper handles wet acrylic washes, gouache layers, and metallic lettering on the same sheet without tearing, pilling, or distorting, making it genuinely multi-technique rather than just a tinted drawing paper.

The dual-sided surface gives a fine grain face for pastels, charcoals, and highlighting pencils, and a smooth reverse for paint markers, white ink pens, and metallic calligraphy gel pens. A4 format suits portfolio entries, student assignments, and daily studio work equally well. Top-glued binding for fray-free sheet separation. Acid-free, pH-neutral, PEFC certified.
