The Pilot Pocket Brush Pen Soft Tip swaps in a soft, flexible elastomer brush nib that bends as hand pressure and angle change, rather than holding a fixed shape. That flexibility is what lets you move from a fine line into a wide brush stroke within a single continuous motion — useful for lettering or illustration work where you don't want to stop and switch pens mid-stroke. An internal capillary reservoir keeps the brush edge fed with ink even during those wider strokes, so you don't get dry patches or skipped sections partway through a sweep.

Line width runs from a fine 0.5 mm up to a 4.0 mm brush stroke depending on pressure and angle — wider than a firm-tip brush pen typically allows, since the softer nib compresses further under pressure. It's filled with a high-saturation black liquid ink, in a slim, travel-sized body with a tight-sealing cap.
